Live a better quality of life through Nutritional Supplements

Being a mom, ideally I am thinking that the food I serve on the family table contains all the nutrients that the body needs, unfortunately, this do not happen. My husband and children dine in the house during breakfast and dinner on weekdays and only on weekends can I ensure them of a complete day’s diet.

In order to make up for the nutritional deficiency, boost and strengthen the family’s overall health and energy I find it important for us to consume nutritional supplements to account for deficiencies and complete the vital nutrients that our bodies need.   Read more

How athletes maintain vigor, stamina and performance

If the recent Olympic Games in London are anything to go by, the prowess of the world’s finest athletes is as high as it’s ever been. Physical therapy, an initial treatment for Spondylolisthesis

My mom was operated for a cervical herniated disc in 2003, titanium screws were implanted to her lumbar 4 and 5 to secure its place at the same time bone grafting from her right hip was done to replace degenerated disc between the vertebrae to stimulate bone healing. My siblings and I together with our Dad and husbands were allowed to witness the operation through the viewing room.  I saw how the operation was done from start to finish. The operation was a total success! Thanks to Dr. T. Castro, one the best Ortho-surgeon in the country.

Lately, my mom is again suffering from lower back pain. Through x-ray results and symptoms described, she was diagnosed with Spondylolisthesis – retrolisthesis or the backward slippage of her bones in her Lumbar 4 and 5.   Read more

Enjoying a refreshing and cleansing body wash

I love the luscious embrace scents of Olay’s cleansing body wash with jojoba butter and crushed orchid extract. With only a small amount squeezed into a wet puff then rubbing it smoothly on the skin unleashes a rich lather. I love the smell of its refreshing scent and the feel as it envelops my body and it feels just like a botanical-infused steam treatment, so no need for me to spend on expensive steam baths when it can be done in the comforts of our own bathroom.

Managing lower back pains with Williams’ Flexion Exercises

The Williams’ Flexion Exercises or WFE are a set of related physical exercises intended to improve lumbar bending or flexion and to strengthen the abdominal muscles to manage low back pain without  surgery.

Ortho-surgeons recommend this staple treatment for patients suffering from lower back pains. Physical therapists teach and aid the patients in performing these prescribed exercises. As this is only an initial treatment for those who are suffering from back ailments, patients who fail to improve with this conservative treatment after a series of physical therapy sessions may require surgery as the next option.
