Check Your Outward Appearance
You’ve probably heard that beauty comes from within, but that is a misleading statement. When you look good on the outside, it will help you feel better on the inside. If you’ve been suffering from low self-esteem, you may find your appearance is less than desirable. You may wear worn or outdated clothing. It’s time to dress for success. Start by purchasing a few new pieces of clothing. If finances are an issue, check out consignment stores and thrift shops.

Get a new hairstyle and a makeover. Some stores offer free make-up sessions for trying their products. Take advantage of these special offers. You will be surprised at how fast your confidence soars when you start getting compliments on your new look. Of course a makeover won’t solve everything, but if you can make a change, make it so you feel confident and positive.

Get Rid of Baggage
Are you carrying around a few extra pounds? Start eating smaller portions, walking more, and replacing soft drinks with water. Consider joining a weight loss program or talking to your doctor about the latest diet pills on the market. Ask the right questions like, is it healthy for me to lose weight? Does Phentermine work? And what’s the best thing I can do to feel better? Even shedding a few pounds can cause your confidence to soar.

Baggage can come in the form of unhealthy relationships too. Do you have a friend who depends on you for everything? Are you in a toxic love relationship where you aren’t treated with respect or appreciated? End negative relationships and develop new ones.

Get a New Hobby
What are you passionate about? Is there something you always wanted to learn but never took the time? What are you waiting for? Look into some online courses or classes offered at your local community college. Learning something new can be a real mood booster. From cooking to photography, there are courses available for nearly anything you’re interested in. Don’t deny parts of yourself. If you’re able to embrace the real you, confidence will follow.

You’ve probably been taught that chasing your dreams is silly, but that’s not true. Take small steps to pursue your dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem.

Fake it Until you Make it
Start acting like a positive person. Hold your head up high. Watch your posture. Speak with confidence. Start now to project the image you want to become. The power of thought can really shape how you interact with the world. Make it a habit to think positively about yourself and change your lifestyle to incorporate more healthy habits.

You have the power within yourself to develop a positive body image. Reach for the stars. You are worth it. A positive body image will take you to new heights that you never thought were possible, both in your personal and professional life.
