The Simple Tricks I Use To Keep My Eyes Looking Young Every Day

Like many women, I’m always on the lookout for those pesky signs of aging. They say that the eyes are the first to go, with wrinkles creeping in and dark circles underneath. I’ve heard women say it’s impossible to stop this inevitable problem. Well, I think differently. I believe you can slow this process down significantly. In fact, I’ve been doing it for years. And, I have to say, it works like a charm.

I’ve used a variety of techniques, including makeup, diet, and alternative therapies to test the best options. There is no miracle cure, but a mixture of many techniques seems to work best. Here are my favourite solutions.

Change your diet – It all starts with the right intake of vitamins and minerals. Your skin is heavily reliant on a balanced diet, and failing to eat healthily really shows on the face. I’ve discovered that boosting your iron intake is the most effective way to healthy looking eyes. That means plenty of spinach and kidney beans. It also means you can treat yourself to a little dark chocolate! Lastly, try to reduce the amount of salt in your diet. Salt rapidly dries your skin out, leaving unwanted blotches and dark circles.

Moisturise daily – We all know that moisturizer helps keep our skin fresh and light. However, it’s worth investing in a formula specifically for the eyes. Use it in small dabs just beneath the eyes themselves, and you’ll keep the dark circles away for good.

Caffeine face mask – I have to say, I was very skeptical about putting tea bags over my eyes. I’m all for alternative therapies, but this seemed a little far-fetched! But, I’m a convert! It worked a treat. The science behind it is that caffeine helps shrink the blood vessels. So, around the eyes, your skin looks smoother and firmer. It’s very effective.

Makeup tricks – Sometimes, all it takes is some clever makeup design. Choosing the right concealer here is essential. With the right shade, you can easily cover those dark circles, and put the spotlight on your eyes themselves. Secondly, work to bring your lashes to life. Work them when they’re dry and malleable for the best results. keep the focus away from the bags under your eyes.

Surgery – The final trick, I haven’t tried myself. However, I know plenty of others who have, and witnessed fantastic results. Eyelid surgery services are becoming more and more popular. It’s a simple procedure, and much less invasive than a full face lift. A quick eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty, helps bring life to your eyes keep the skin looking youthful. I’ve seen women come out of surgery looking ten years younger! It removes puffiness, bags under the eyes, and wrinkled skin. I’m still a bit too nervous to get it done myself, but it’s worth a try!
